The Nurse's Cottage is let on a self-catering basis only, this means that it is not a hotel, there is no daily room service, no reception, no staff onsite etc.
Check in time is from 4pm on the day you are booked to arrive. Departure time is by 10am on the morning you are due to leave.
Deposits – a deposit of 30% is necessary to confirm the booking. The balance is then requested eight weeks prior to the start of the holiday. If booking within 8 weeks of the rental, the payment in full will be required.
Cancellations - once a booking is made, accepted and the deposit (or the full amount) paid, a legally binding contract exists. All cancellations are liable for the full rental amount. However, if the cottage can be re-let, a credit will be raised against a future booking, less any additional costs incurred. We strongly recommend protecting against unforeseen events by taking out cancellation insurance.
Dogs are very welcome but there are some house rules:
Please advise when booking, if there will be dogs coming on holiday too. We provide welcome goody bags for the dogs as well :).
We provide a high quality welcome pack with local supplies as well as milk, bread, coffee, tea etc. this is from Hansen's Deli in the village. Local shops are within easy walking distance that can supply everything needed (as well as cash machines).
Please support as many local shops and business as you can during your stay. They rely on income from holiday makers and are an important part of what makes Comrie special.
We provide high quality bedding, dressing gowns, slippers and towels for everyone staying at the cottage.
Electricity / gas, High speed Fibre WiFi / broadband with unlimited data usage, TV license, etc. are all included in the rental cost of the property. WiFi is available throughout the cottage and the rear garden.

- They are not allowed on any furniture or beds - no exceptions.
- Please never leave them in the cottage on their own.

The cottage has full gas central heating. This is on a timed programme during the colder months, and can be boosted as needed. This operates independently of the log burner. Hot water is heated on demand by the gas boiler, so there is an endless supply.
Kitchen - the kitchen is fully equipped with everything that should be needed. There is an electric double oven, induction hob, full size dishwasher, large fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine etc. There are dishes / plates / glasses / cutlery for 8 place settings - and they all match!!
The clothes washing machine and tumble dryer are in the garage. We provide a starter pack of dishwasher and washing machine tablets. There are soap dispensers in both bathrooms and the kitchen.
There are two large TVs, which can be found in the sitting room and downstairs snug.
There is a selection of board games, books on the local area for use while at the Nurse's Cottage. Please leave them as they are found.
There is a selection of maps covering the local area. Please leave these in the cottage for the next guest.
All the bedrooms have hair dryers (with mirrors and power outlets close to the mirrors!). Each of the bedrooms have power sockets with built in USB chargers, just remember to bring USB cables (the kitchen also has a USB power socket).
There is a wood burning stove in the sitting room – there is a supply of free logs and kindling supplied with the cottage. Only wood logs can be used with the stove, don't burn coal or peat please.
There is a large, secure garage that can be used to store outdoor equipment. It has power and light (as well as the washing machine/tumble dryer). There is also an outside hose to the side of the garage for washing down mountain bikes (and their riders!!).
There are outside security lights on the cottage and garage which operate on a timer. .
Smoking policy - no smoking of cigarettes, cigars or pipes is allowed anywhere in the property. We reserve the right to cancel holidays and evict guests if these conditions are not observed.
