Perfect before - even better now!

This was our second trip to the lovely Nurses Cottage in Comrie and it was even better than the first time (which was perfect!.

The cottage is very well equipped, stylish, comfortable and cosy with a really lovely garden including a fantastic are hot tub which we loved!

We brought family from South Africa with us this time and they were blown away with the beauty of the area as well as how wonderful the accommodation was.

Most Perfect Cottage, Comrie

Stunning, beautiful countryside greets you as come into Comrie. The Nurse's Cottage is as beautiful inside as it is outside. Lovely & cosy , home from home. Beautifully decorated throughout. Margo & Jim, you have done yourselves proud, your eye for detail is spot on.

We felt so at home, we both said we could live there. We have enjoyed walking the Glen Lednock circular route, walks through the wood. Taking in the sights of the wonderful Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies, wow they are absolutely beautiful. Also visited Loch Lomond, just gorgeous.

Hansens Kitchen, gorgeous food, definitely a go to everyone. The Royal Hotel, lovely food too. We sat in the beer garden with our Dalmatians, they loved them, made a proper fuss over them both. We have had the most wonderful 5 day stay with Mya and Hugo . The Spots loved the garden and their lovely walks.

Thank you, Margo and Jim for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage, and for your generosity of the fan welcome pack, wine , flowers and doggy treats. Very much appreciated. We have been truly spoilt. We could have wished for more. Definitely up there, for one of the best cottages we have stayed in . We would be so happy to visit The Nurse's Cottage again without a doubt. With our heartfelt thanks Angela, Derek, Mya and Hugo the Dalmatians.

Lovely holiday

The Nurses Cottage was a perfect base in the lovely little village of Comrie. Trips to Drummond Castle and Scone Palace were supplemented with wonderful walks from the door including up to see the Deil’s Cauldron waterfall. Great meals at the Deil’s Cauldron Restaurant and the Barley Bree in Muthill.

Fabulous, immaculate well appointed cottage

What a fantastic cottage - immaculately presented and very well equipped.

We had a lovely week walking with the dog in the surrounding area, looking around the local shops and had a visit to Drummond Castle.

The weather was very kind to us and we enjoyed barbecuing in the garden and relaxing in the hot tub.

Would thoroughly recommend a stay in the cottage to anyone.

Amazing visit

What a wonderful week we had staying in the Nurses Cottage. We had stayed for a weekend a few years ago but was so worth staying the full week.

Comrie is a sweet wee village and the shops are wonderful. Butchers, fruit shop, bakers (get there early cause foodstuff's sell very quickly) deli and the tiny supermarket are all excellent and well stocked.

Weather was fantastic, we were out in the garden, having a BBQ every single day. The hot tub just makes it even better. Word of warning the garden is a definite sun trap so make sure you have sun screen on, unfortunately we didn't and suffered for it - OUCH! Love the bird feeders in the garden, lots of birds, we even saw a hedgehog!

Thoroughly recommend it - what a find this was.

TripAdvisor June 2022

Fantastic family holiday

The cottage is lovely. It had everything we needed and some very thoughtful touches. The weather wasn't kind for the first few days but we still enjoyed the hot tub and then warmed up in front of the wood burner!

We canooed, cycled, visited Dundee, Castle Drummond and ate lots of local bread! It's the perfect comfortable base to explore the beautiful area.

Five stars

Very clean and well equipped house. Jim and Margo were really helpful and responsive and made us feel very welcome.

We spent a very happy Christmas here, visiting family in Comrie. Took some lovely walks up to Deil’s Cauldron and Glen Lednock - all easy from the house.

Fussy husband could not fault it. Highly recommended!

as perfect as our last visit

This is our second stay in this cottage and once again it was everything you could wish for. Beautifully furnished, spotless and so well equipped I felt guilty for eating out!

The garden is lovely and we enjoyed watching the birds on the feeders, we saw red squirrels and deer and went mushroom foraging in the woods.

We met up with friends and enjoyed a meal at Comrie Cafe. very sad to leave but hope to be back.
P.S. We eyed up the bikes in the garage but as we are both in our seventies thought better of it as have not ridden for a long time :)

TripAdvisor September 2021

Amazing, amazing, amazing!

We stayed for a week with a couple of friends, their boys and their dog and we had an amazing time, everything we needed was there, everything! The cottage is absolutely wonderful, comfortable, beautiful, with modern appliances on the kitchen and great bathrooms, the beds are comfortable and everything is top quality, and so quiet!

We were amazed discovering that every time we needed something Margo had already thought of it and voila! there it was!

You can step out of the cottage and go for a beautiful walk. The village has everything you need and there is an Aldi in Crieff to get all your food supplies. In Comrie, The Deli (Hansen's) has many scrumptious treats, there is a top quality butcher and a fish and chips take away, plenty of places to get bits and bobs and wine and beer and all 5 minutes away walking. The pub is great too! The locals are super polite and friendly.

We had a great time and we all agreed that the Nurse’s cottage is one of the best places we have ever been, and we all have travelled quite a lot. We will come back for sure! We cannot thank Margo and Jim enough for one of the most memorable holidays we have ever had. Thank you from all of us!!!!!!!!!!!!

TripAdvisor August 2021

Excellent stay as always in Nurses Cottage

We have spent many happy times in Comrie and this was no exception, especially as the first half of our week in June 2021 was blessed with wonderful sunshine. Nurses cottage is a fabulous place to stay, centrally located in the Village a short walk from great shops and lots of options for hill walking difficult and easy.

The Cottage is beautifully appointed and always spotlessly clean. Excellent quality bed linen is provided which is a pet peeve of mine in some rentals. The Kitchen is very well equipped and the sitting/dining area is very comfortable.

It is also fantastic to have access to bicycles that would be suitable for the whole family. The garden came into its own this time due to the appearance of the often shy Scottish sun - so we were able to have lots of lovely meals and drinks in the garden.

We have been to Nurses Cottage on a number of occasions and will certainly return when we can. Thanks to Jim and Margo for their excellent hosting and transparent communication.

TripAdvisor June 2021

Stunning cottage in practical location

We had a fab stay. Cottage is beautifully decorated with gorgeous art work and many thoughtful touches. It is on doorstep of accessible but beautiful countryside for families. Use of bikes was fantastic - as a family of 4 we only rented one for our youngest daughter - saved a fortune! Hansen's deli has delicious food and is 5 min walk away. One of the best self catering properties we have ever stayed in.

Cosy, stylish home from home in beautiful Comrie

We had a lovely stay in the Cottage located in wonderful Comrie - great for walking, cycling, climbing & other outdoor pursuits. The area is particularly beautiful in autumn.

This was our first holiday since the birth of our daughter in March - and much required!

The communal areas of the Cottage have a bright, stylish & open plan Scandi design feel. We were greeted with a welcome tray of local produce - just delicious. Thank you.

The house was also beautifully (and reassuringly) clean in these tricky times.

A highchair & travel cot was provided - which was great.

We had some fab walks (amazing scenery) & made good (indeed daily :)) use of the amazing local deli, Hansens Kitchen... highly recommend.

We will come back in a flash!

Just a few comments for the owners (as they requested):

My husband borrowed one of the cottage bikes & he suggested a new tool (the one provided was slightly warped) to help adjust bike seat heights.

We also found the master bed a little too firm for us unfortunately. I’ve got a vulnerable bad back, so we would probably bring our memory foam mattress topper if we returned, but I appreciate beds are a very personal choice!

We also think the website pics don’t do the cottage justice - a 360 video might be helpful too (I might have missed this). It’s just so gorgeous - it’s hard to capture how quaint and lovely it is in situ ...in pics alone.

Anyway just a few things to mention...We loved the cottage so much - great location, peacefully quiet, cosy yet stylish with everything we needed...the stay was just a little too short!!

TripAdvisor October 2020

Excellent Family Holiday Cottage

We had a terrific time at the Nurse’s Cottage. This was our second visit and we couldn’t wait to return!

The cottage is beautiful and comfortable, with everything you need from slippers, to hairdryers, iron, washing facilities to the well-equipped kitchen. Everything was scrupulously clean and the COVID procedures are sensible and comprehensive.

We made great use of the local shops, and can highly recommend Hansen’s, The Handy Shop (fruit & veg), Campbell’s bakery & Comrie Croft’s Farm Shop.

The area around Comrie is so picturesque and there is loads to do. Ideal for walking with younger children as well as older ones as there are loads of river valley walks that aren’t too challenging for little legs, but let the adults stretch theirs!

Margo & Jim couldn’t be more helpful or thoughtful. Highly recommended!

A Wonderful Place to Stay

Margo and Jim have thought of everything!

We felt immediately safe and relaxed on arrival as the place was spottlesly clean. There was a delightful welcome pack on the table. It is a really well designed holiday cottage. The living space is light and bright, looking out onto the very attractive garden, we even saw a red squirrel on the first morning. Having the bikes was fun and there are nice walks locally.

Comrie is a charming village in a great location. We hope to return next year.

Our home away from home!

This was our second stay at the Nurses cottage and we couldn't ask for more. A beautiful home in abeautiful location. The cottage is amazing, every fine detail is thought of.

Even during these difficult times, we felt safe and that our safety and comfort was considered. We have already booked again for next year.

Travelling as a family was made easier having somewhere so special to stay. Our toddler loved his stay, playing for hours in the beautiful garden and the Scottish air and comfortable travel cot meant he had amazing night's sleep (what a treat for us!!). Beautiful garden for the dog to enjoy, chasing rabbits and perfect location for long walks. We love everything about this cottage and can't wait to return!

TripAdvisor August 2020

Beautiful dog-friendly cottage

This was our 1st trip to Comrie and both the cottage and the local area exceeded our expectations. The cottage has the kerb-appeal of a traditional and charming home and the interior is a stunningly stylish fusion of contemporary and traditional, renovated to a very high standard. We loved the touches of luxury - deep mattresses, quality bedding and kitchenware, coffee machine, deep stand-alone bath and luxury showers, interesting and local art-work and of course, the beautiful welcome pack. As well as being welcoming, beautiful and comfortable, it was immaculately clean. The garden is a sun-trap and we enjoyed making use of the gas bbq.

There are stunning walks from the door and a choice of walks close-by. We particularly enjoyed Ben A'an - a steep climb but the views are worth it. We would also recommend The Cabin at Loch Lubnaig for getting onto or into the water: easy access, hot food/drinks and toilets.

Our dogs were well catered for with their own welcome pack, plenty of space for dog beds in the living area and a properly secure garden.

We have stayed in many self-catering cottages in the UK and this is one of the best finds we have made! We cannot recommend it highly enough. Enjoy!!

TripAdvisor July 2020

What a beautiful cottage

Tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. Just perfect for an unwinding, relaxing break.

The dogs loved it too - so many walks to choose from, from the cottage door.

We would recommend the Cabin in Loch Lubnaig for kayaking (easy access to water, toilets, hot food) _ Ben A’an for spectacular views.

Comrie butcher + fish & Chip shop both 10/10!

Absolutely fabulous accommodation

Our party of five adults plus canine companion had the most amazing few days in the Cottage - cottage is a misnomer! It is a beautiful, spacious, extremely comfortable place to stay. Loads of room. Plenty beds.

So amazingly equipped you could literally show up with no luggage or anything at all and it wouldn't be a problem. All mod cons in the kitchen, beautifully modern bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. Very cosy. And the garden is a wonderfully safe haven for canine companions too.

We were attending a wedding at Comrie Croft and the Cottage was the perfect location - just five minutes or so drive. Thank you for making our stay absolutely fabulous. I can only imagine how wonderful it must be in the nice, sunny weather. Congratulations to all who had a hand in designing, planning and equipping the property. Sensational!

TripAdvisor February 2020

All you need and a lot more!
Traditional village cottage near ammenities and ideal for all the area can offer. We liked it all but felt the cottage had a cosy feel still even though it’s been tastefully modernised! Luxury feel to fixture and fittings especially the bathrooms.

A good size for our six and a great base for us to attend a family funeral. So nice to come back to and pop on the wood burner and have a we dram.

So many good points and we would highly recommend the cottage and would book again without hesitation.

Wonderful Cottage with everything you need.

This lovely well equipped cottage in Comrie is centrally located within walking distance of great independent shops, restaurants and as many walking routes as you could possibly want. It is beautifully decorated with quality furniture and a really well appointed kitchen - very envious of the deep pantry. The beds are very comfortable with excellent bed linen.

Lots of small touches that make the difference, e.g. great welcome pack from the local deli which is a great resource, lots of paper products and dishwasher tablets.

Provision of as many logs and kindling as you need very much appreciated in the winter months and not common in other rentals.

There is plenty of space for four adults and children, they are also very welcoming of dogs. We hope to return very soon.

What a fantastic cottage, the accommodation was perfect, every thing clean and tidy, will definitely be going back.

Nurses Cottage at Cromrie is within easy reach of golf courses, fishing, walking and cycle routes, what more would you need. The Royal Hotel was perfect for a bar meal and a more formal meal in the Resturant. (Have to try the Earthquake ale.)

Perfect cottage in a perfect location.

Wonderful stay!

We recently stayed at Nurse's Cottage for a week, wonderfully presented property in the lovely village of Comrie, great location for exploring by foot and car. As owners of our own luxury self catering properties Puddle Duck Cottages in Ironbridge, Shropshire it was a delight to be the guest for a change.

The property is very well equipped, furnished to a high standard and was lovely and clean throughout, we holidayed with our dog and found the gardens well kept and secure. I would and have already recommended to friends and family and we would love to stay again in the future.

Perfection!!

What a fabulous cottage, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and so well equipped in every way. Beds were very comfortable and the cottage really cosy. We didn’t think we would need to use the log burner as it was August but the Scottish weather beat us and we did! Plenty room for the 5 of us.

Comrie is a lovely village with all the amenities we needed and the location is well placed for numerous outdoor activities as well as trips into Edinburgh or Stirling.

The official rating for this is 4 * but it is most definitely 5*. We would recommend and hope to return ourselves.

Perfect Holiday Base

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Comrie at the Nurse’s Cottage and couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.

We’re a family of four with two young children and we also had their grandmother joining us. The Nurse’s Cottage easily accommodated all of us, and having the snug as well as the living room gave the wee ones lots of space to play. Having so many walks so close by was perfect for all of us, but especially for children who need to be up & out early!

The cottage is beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We loved having fires in the evenings. The facilities are excellent across the board and the kitchen has everything you could need - great for those who enjoy cooking. Comrie has an excellent butcher, a greengrocers and the wonderful Hansen’s Delicatessen, so ingredients are no problem either. Hansen’s is also the source of the perfect welcome basket that greets you at The Nurse’s Cottage.

We absolutely fell in love with this cottage & the whole area. Can’t wait to book a return visit!

A Perfect Home from Home

We loved staying at the Nurse's Cottage for a long weekend. Every detail has been considered and all guests loved the garden, decor, open plan kitchen/lounge and the little touches e.g. coffee/fresh bread/flowers.

We got married at Comrie Croft and couldn't have chosen a better place to get ready on the morning of our wedding and relax in after.

Would love to return again in the future and use the bikes and maximise our time in this beautiful, hidden part of Scotland.

We had the pleasure of staying in the wonderful Nurses Cottage for a week

The owners went to every length to make sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible, which it was.  It is extremely comfortable and in a perfect location within Comrie.

There is easy access to local walks, and local cafes, shops and restaurants which are excellent, particularly Hansens and the Royal Hotel.  Don’t leave Comrie without trying the Earthquake Ale, available in the Royal Hotel.

Another tip is the Comrie Croft, which offers mountain biking trails and a brilliant café.

Comrie is great for easy access to Crieff, St Fillans – easy cycle – Loch Earn and the great walk up the old railway line at Glen Ogle in Lochearnhead.

We would recommend the Nurses Cottage for a great holiday in a superb part of Scotland which is often overlooked by tourists heading north.

Beautiful pet-friendly cottage in great location

Location is fantastic right in the heart of Comrie with great walks starting from outside the front door and there is a fully enclosed garden which was great for our children and dog.

The cottage is decorated beautifully and is one of the best equipped that we have ever stayed in, there wasn't one thing we needed that they hadn't provided.

We stayed with our 3 children and they had plenty of technology to entertain them in the evenings from the Sonos music system to the PS4 in the snug. There was never a dull moment!!

A lovely welcome pack greeted us on our arrival with tasty treats from the local delicatessen and there was even a welcome pack for our dog containing a toy and some natural doggy treats.

The owners really have though of everything and I can't recommend the cottage enough, we will definitely visit again!!!

Just back from a week in Comrie at the beautiful Nurses Cottage. It has everything you need and more we even had a visit from a little deer in the garden.

The cottage was spotless and full of gadgets that were too technical for us seniors but my grandchildren would have loved! I lived in Comrie for the first 14 years of my life and love coming back.

Hope it won't be too long before I'm back again, can't recommend this cottage enough.

Fantastic Weekend

Just back from a relaxing long family weekend at The Nurse's Cottage.

This place is perfect. Inside it is beautifully decorated, fresh, clean, with plenty of room.

Five adults and a toddler fitted in well and we all had plenty of space. Add the hidden delights of two snugs to escape to with a book. Very well equipped with the bonus of a Sonos system for the soundtrack of your choice.

Beautiful, private garden with a great dining area and gas bbq. Add to this five bikes and two sets of golf clubs. The location could not be better. In one direction the High Street is a few steps away, whilst the other way leads to a variety of accessible woodland, river and country walks.

We couldn't praise this place enough and we're already looking forward to a return trip next year! Thanks Jim and Margo!

We have just finished a week in the nurse’s cottage. So sad to leave! The cottage has everything you could want and more. We are a family of 6, 16, 30somethings and a greyhound and we are all in love with the place. There is nothing that you need that isn’t provided. The instructions for everything are perfectly clear which is great especially re the fires. I will be sad not to have the soft sofa blanket when we get home.. Wifi was so fast- our teenager was able to watch Netflix on her laptop with no probs. Jim was easily contactable when we had to get in touch briefly which was greatly appreciated. The amazing washing machine 30minute cycle was a huge bonus (I am now old and get excited by washing machines...). The carpets were something else!! So soft. Loved the small touches such as ice in the freezer and wildlife books. Great to have slippers provided too. It was the perfect base for our Scotland holiday. The location for exploring the whole country is spot on but there are also plenty of things in the local area. Special mention to lovely chap in the Nisa and the amazing range of dog treats in the pet shop. We recommend it whole heartedly. Book it!!

An absolute gem of a place

Stayed here for 4 nights with our two grandsons.

The photos don't do the place justice as it really is beautiful.

As I cook all the meals wherever we stay, I bring my own kitchen tools, seasonings, cutting board, etc and I can honestly say this is the first stay where I really could have left everything at home as the kitchen was very well stocked.

I loved the decor, furnishings and the array of assorted artwork throughout.

It has a lovely welcoming homely feel and as it was cold and pretty much rained through our entire stay, the very efficient heating system was very much appreciated.

The owners have clearly spent a lot of money furnishing the place and it shows.

We would love to return, especially to make use of the lovely rear garden.

Fantastic place to stay with or without a four legged friend

We have just come to the end of a short break at TNC with our fox terrier, Monty and really don’t want to leave.

The house is beautifully presented in a very modern style but is at the sane time very practical- excellent showers, broadband and entertainment system.

The kitchen is very well equipped and the owners were kind enough to leave a very high quality welcome hamper from Hansens, the deli in town.

I would recommend this place to anyone

Beautiful house with wonderful outside space

We stayed as a family with teenager, grandparents and dog in tow and we all loved this house.

Very well equipped, beautifully decorated and warm. Enough off street parking for three normal sized cars. The showers are amazing - very high tech yet easy to use.

Particularly comfortable beds (quite firm but I like that!), nice cotton bedding and plentiful thick towels.

Constant hot water and easy to light wood and pellet burners made staying here a treat.

Outside space was great to catch the last of the day's sunshine and let the dog have a wander. My brother and mum played at Comrie nine hole golf course nearby and we all went for Sunday lunch at the Barley Bree in Muthill which as always was fantastic.

Glenlednock circular walking route is on the doorstep for a bracing dog walk and plenty of small shops in the village if you don't fancy going further afield for provisions.

We'd love to come back.

The only thing we couldn't use were the Sonos speakers because the app on the supplied tablet appeared to need updating and none of us could figure out how to do it even the tech savvy teenager but that didn't spoil our holiday in any way and probably just our rubbish IT skills at play.

Tasteful, well equipped, perfect location and the added bonus of a garage with bikes & golf clubs - splendid.

We have had a wonderful week in Comrie where all the residents are so friendly.

Thank you so much for making our stay for our son's wedding so memorable.

A great part of the world, we will come again.

All six of us really enjoyed our stay in The Nurse's Cottage

It was the best house for a holiday we ever had. We love how you have styled the house Margo & Jim.

Thank you for not keeping this perfect place to yourselves!!

We will take a twin of the door stopper cow home with us, and our children think the pizza at Delivino's is more than great.

Amazing place to stay

Just returned from 4 nights at the Nurses cottage.

Amazing place and space. Comrie is a little chocolate box village with fantastic surrounding area for walks & bike rides.

Ideal base to explore Scotland also.

We've stayed in some great places all over the world but the cottage is one of the best places we have ever stayed.

Furnished to a really high standard with EVERYTHING , yes everything you could want or need. Amazingly clean throughout.

Beautiful garden area where we were lucky enough to have the weather to have a barbecue.

Would absolutely recommend to anyone and will definitely be looking at returning.

We loved staying in this comfortable cottage

We had great time here in Scotland and would have loved to stay longer :)

We already knew Comrie from a stay at Lochearnhead last year and discovered Nurses's Cottage on a walk round the beautiful village.

We were immediately attracted by it and looked for the website and booking Information.

Its interior is even more beautiful and we very much enjoyed our stay. The owners thought of every possible amenity. Decoration and furniture are stylish but in a relaxed way.

We even appreciated some rainy days because they were a welcome excuse for staying in a bit longer.

An auspicious chain of events…

led to our stay at The Nurse's Cottage. Clearly this was meant to be and we fell in love with the house, which became our home from the first moment we saw it.

Jim & Margo have been amazing and have paid so much attention to detail in making the cottage a great place to be to explore the lovely Comrie area and make great memories.

We love it so much that we have already booked to come back in September for Irina's 8th birthday - she wants a crocodile in the garden (sorry, we can't supply that !!).

Thank you for a great time

the welcome pack was a lovely surprise and yummy !!

It was a great place to spend quality family time together and for our baby's first birthday.

We went on lots of nice walks and bike rides (using the bikes provided in the garage) and visited Auchengarack Wildlife Centre. There is plenty to do and see and the enclosed garden was great for the kids and dog.

We also managed a cheeky BBQ as the sun was out the full weekend. Would recommend Macrosty Park in Crieff.

Thank you… would love to come back.

Best rental ever. Perfect location for visitor to Scotland.

We stayed here for 4 nights to attend a wedding at Comrie Croft which was only 1-2 miles away. 6 adults and 1 infant.

The owners have thought of everything that you might need. Plus more - e.g. smoothie maker, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, 5 bikes, golf clubs, gas barbecue. Even Netflix on TV, PS4 and Sonos/Spotify music system throughout the house.

No problems supplying a travel cot and high chair for the granddaughter. The owners are very helpful, have thought of everything and provide lots of information. All equipment and furnishings in the cottage are of high quality. Comfortable beds. Nice linen. The showers in the bathrooms are brilliant. Fresh flowers and small welcome hamper ready for your arrival along with the essential condiments, oils etc that you would normally forget to bring from home.

We were able to park 3 cars in the driveway without difficulty. The garden was lovely with sunny seating for 6 and the BBQ all set up.

And as for the location! Up a small lane at the end of which there are great, easily accessible walks beside the river or round the back of the village. The village itself is ideal. Enough in the way of shops for necessities and for eating out. Crieff, a bigger town, is only 6 miles away. There is plenty to do in this area apart from the stunning scenery.

For the first time visitor especially, this is a great centre for visiting Scotland. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Oban, St Andrews and Inverness all within striking distance. And unlike many places in Scotland you wouldn’t have to go up and down the same road to get anywhere. It would even be feasible to come here without a car as there are regular buses from Perth.

Having stayed at numerous holiday rentals in the U.K. and abroad we can honestly say that this was probably the best. It just ticked all the boxes.

Just returned from 4 nights at The Nurses Cottage and can't wait to return!

The cottage itself is just perfect. Beautifully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable and cosy.

The Play Station 4, Sonos sound system and log burner were well used! There's a safe garden for kids to play in and the cottage itself is situated in a quiet lane just off the main street.

Comrie itself is a lovely little village with everything you need on your doorstep. We visited the nearby Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre which was great for the kids. There's a little skate park just along from the cottage and a good large play area in MacRosty Park in Crieff.

This was definitely the nicest self catering accommodation we've used. Very clean (you'd never know pets had been there) and comfortable.

Thanks for having us!

Beautifully decorated with everything and more that a holiday cottage would need. The kids loved the snug area and playing under the stairs and the haggis book was a big hit!!!

The kitchen is brilliant and fully kitted out with everything you would need.

Communication with the owners has been so straight forward and they were really helpful. We were welcomed with some gifts that were greatly received and the welcome pack is well thought through.

Returned from a week’s Christmas with family.

The cottage itself is immaculate, beautifully decorated and feels like a home from home as we settled in instantly.

It is dog friendly cottage but you would never know as all guests have clearly been respectful

Lovely size garden and spotted a big bbq which would be great in warmer months.
Heating worked perfectly over the winters week with a gorgeous wood burner which was used daily.

We had a 6 month old with us and stayed in the upstairs bedroom which was spacious with its own ensuite. There was also a lounge chair at the top of the landing which could be used as a nursing chair if needed or for a chill out section to read a book.

Plenty of fun had with board games including a playstation which is separate to the main lounge. Sonos music system which can play upstairs and downstairs

Fully equiped kitchen plenty of pots, pans, plates, glasses & utensils

I am not a keen walker but there are many hill walks as well as flat ones to suit all.

The area its self is picturesque and the small
high street is on your door step which had all you need.

A gorgeous cottage in the heart of Comrie which we would highly recommend and will no doubt return in the future.

Great job Margo & Jim!! We especially appreciated the “Welcome Pack” and the flowers!
Good thing with the “Welcome Pack” is that you can stay at your new “Part time Home” and do not necessarily have to run for milk and bread for the next morning.

Charming cottage, beautifully decorated with all the creature comforts and more

There is so much to love about Nurse's cottage. We were four adults and one two-year-old.

Here are what we found to be the highlights (in no particular order): - The cottage is beautiful and impeccably decorated. It feels like home from the moment you step inside. Margo and Jim have thought of everything you could possibly need, and more. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the appliances, tools, and crockery needed to cook just as you would at home. The entire house is furnished very comfortably, with large beds, places to lounge, luxurious showers and bathtub, and a pretty garden. - The cottage has everything you could want to entertain yourself at home - from Netflix, to a Sonos sound system hooked up to Spotify, to a PlayStation and board games. Also, plenty of books on the area, including a very helpful walking guide that was our bible.

Margo and Jim were very communicative and helpful. We received an immediate response when we had a question on where to find something in the cottage. - As hosts, they went above and beyond, providing fresh bread, jams and milk for our arrival. And a lovely surprise of the most beautiful flowers in a vase when we arrived!

Comrie itself is a charming little village with two small grocery stores open late, an excellent butcher and a deli with great bread, delicious prepared meals and all sorts of other goodies. Also a short drive to Barley Bree restaurant in Muthill which we went to on Margo and Jim's recommendation - it was excellent! Nurse's Cottage was a great location from which to explore this magical countryside. We hope to be back someday.

TripAdvisor August 2017

I definitely recommend The Nurses Cottage.

On arrival, we were greeted with lovely flowers and a hamper containing delicious goodies. Decorated beautifully and spotlessly clean, very well equipped. Cannot fault it, lots of thought and attention to detail by Jim and Margo, from the bikes, golf clubs, books, maps, DVD's, Sonos music system.... the list goes on.

My 6-year daughter loved the snug area and the garden, she didn't want to leave (nor did I). My Mum celebrated her birthday while we were there and she thoroughly enjoyed her stay.

The area has so much to offer, the walking maps came in very handy and I even managed to drag my other half up Ben Chonzie!! We look forward to a return visit in the near future.

What an absolute gem of a location and cottage!
Spent 4 nights there with my family recently and cannot express how luxurious and comfortable the cottage is. The owners have absolutely thought of everything and we wanted for nothing!

Their generosity also meant that we had the use of the bikes and golf clubs in the garage which we took full advantage of as the local walks and bike rides are on your doorstep and so beautiful. Comrie is a sleepy wee village with a lovely feel to it but we were centrally located for so many other places it was difficult to decide where to go first!

The cottage is well equipped with Sonos speakers, a kindle and PlayStation. Lovely wood burners which are easy to use, kitchen equipped with everything you will need for your stay.

Stunning, cosy, well equipped cottage with a very modern feel in an ideal location.

The cottage was the perfect getaway base we all needed with all the amenities we required.

We are all quite keen walkers and managed out for a fair few miles over our stay. The heating in the cottage is easy to control so on our return we were always welcomed back to a cosy cottage. The shower is powerful and hot water is produced on demand.

There are shops, a bistro and bars within easy walking distance and also fine restaurants available close by.

On the night we choose to stay in we used the very well equipped kitchen and settled in for a night of chat while the Sonos played our requested playlists.

I would have no hesitation recommending the accommodation. It is a first class holiday rental and extremely well equipped with a real homely feel.

The decor is bright, fresh and also very homely. The cottage was very well equipped and we wanted for nothing during our stay. The welcome pack was a lovely gesture and very well received.... thank you. My wife particularly loved the top landing chair, relaxing with a book while our two kids (11 & 14) loved the Sonos music system and PS4. I particularly liked the log burning stove which warmed the place up lovely after a day out hillwalking up the Deils Cauldron. The garden is well presented and very dog friendly.

Both Jim & Margo (owners) local knowledge of the area was gratefully received, recommending great walks to great eating places. Comrie itself is a beautiful village with lots to offer with lots of great walks for our Vizla Roxi. We all enjoyed our stay so much that we will definitely be back.

Perfect peaceful haven

We were very fortunate to be the first guests at this beautiful cottage. It has recently been completely renovated and is finished to a very high standard. The decor is beautiful throughout and
a great deal of thought has been given to guest comfort. There were six of us in our party (4 adults, which included my husband and myself, my parents who are both in their eighties and our two children aged 13 and 10). The house very comfortably catered for us all with everyone having plenty of personal space.

We cooked several meals in the house and the kitchen is very well equipped. The dining room table was perfect both for eating together and for playing board games. There are lots of beautiful games in the house. As it was November, it was dark early but the wood burning stove made the house very cosy. We also used the pellet burner in the downstairs hall which meant the whole house was lovely and warm.

The chaise on the upper landing is an absolute delight as was the luxurious bathroom. The downstairs shower room was perfect for my parents and is likewise finished to a very high standard.

We only stayed two nights and will definitely be returning to extend the time we have to fully appreciate the house and the surrounding area.

We would highly recommend Nurses Cottage.

Stayed here for 4 nights with our two grandsons.

This was our second stay and we will hopefully be back next year. I would highly recommend The Nurses Cottage.

Mr and Mrs

The best cottage we have stayed in.

Decor, location, space, facilities, garage and garden were all perfect. There was attention to detail and everything you could wish for.

We will come again as we’ve discovered an area of Scotland which is delightful but not too far!

An auspicious chain of events….

led to our stay at The Nurse's Cottage.

Our family group stayed for Xmas week 2017 as part of a large family gathering.

We rented three premises and all agreed Nurses Cottage the best.

Well appointed, friendly informative owners and lots of little touches make it THE holiday cottage to stay in Comrie.

Welcome pack, Sonos equipped, play station, modern wood burner to name a few attractions, discover the rest yourselves!.

Oh and dog & baby friendly as well with our 6month old grandson trying out and approving cot & high chair.

Second Visit

This was our 2nd stay at Nurses cottage this year and was just as fabulous as our first stay.

Run out of good things to say about this little piece of perfection.

With beautiful countryside walks and Munros to climb (we managed Ben Chonzie) on this visit. We managed this with two teenagers and our Hungarian Vizla.

The cottage itself was still as beautiful and well equipped with everything you could ever need.

We will definitely be returning in 2018.

Thank you so much Jim and Margo for providing such a beautifully and well-appointed cottage - it really did feel like our home from home - the welcome pack and flowers were such a lovely touch too!

The Cottage is finished to a high standard and I couldn't find fault with any of the rooms, the bathrooms have showers that are out of this world!! The welcome pack was a lovely touch too.

My girls were delighted with the PS4, Sonos and very quick Wi-Fi - teenager’s heaven.

The Cottage is very well situated in the village beside some beautiful walks and close to the hotels for a nice meal. Comrie also has some lovely independent shops especially Hansen's Deli and the bakers. We had a meal at Delivino in Crieff too and their food was fantastic.

We planned to climb Ben Chonzie but the weather wasn’t on our side. Instead, we did the circular 8-mile route around Comrie leading us through beautiful forest tracks. One afternoon we strolled down to the Deil & enjoyed a coffee & fancy cake. The cottage catered very well to all our requirements and exceeded our expectations. It is within easy commute whether driving driving, walking or cycling to many scenic locations. We enjoyed a cosy night in listening to music on the Sonos as well as an amazing meal in Crieff. The bedrooms are very comfortable, the cottage is so cosy and extremely well equipped.

Book it!!

We had great time here in Scotland and would have loved to stay longer :)

We already knew Comrie from a stay at Lochearnhead last year and discovered Nurses's Cottage on a walk round the beautiful village.

We were immediately attracted by it and looked for the website and booking Information.

My girlfriends and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic cottage.
